Meet Doug

Hello everyone! I'm Doug Leonard. I'd like to take a moment to share my journey with you, and why I'm standing before you as a grateful man.

I've been fortunate to call Lexington County home since 1964, except for a few work-related moves. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with esteemed companies such as Caterpillar, Mobil Oil, and Southeastern Freight Lines. From leadership roles to problem-solving and process improvement, I've had a diverse range of experiences that have shaped me.

But beyond my professional life, I've been blessed with a loving family. My wife Susan and I have been married for 39 years. Susan is truly the best thing that has ever happened to me other than Jesus. Together, we've raised four incredible children and are now blessed with nine active grandchildren—all residing right here in Lexington County.

Watching Lexington County evolve from a small agricultural community to a thriving area has been remarkable. It's become one of the most desirable places to live and raise a family, and I wholeheartedly agree.

My upbringing instilled in me the values of hard work, respect, and compassion for others. My parents taught me that with dedication and hard work, I could achieve anything. From working odd jobs during summers to finding my niche in sales, I've embraced every opportunity that came my way.

My career path has been diverse, from  managerial roles at Pepsi, Mobil Oil and Southeastern Freight Lines.  I found my real  passion helping people, in real estate, where I've spent the last two decades building my own company here in SC.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I've also been deeply involved in community service. I served at the Saxe Gotha precinct as a poll clerk for nearly two decades. I have traveled to Haiti for multiple mission trips. We started an international plastics company in Haiti to help the Haitian people after the 2010 earthquake. This reinforced my appreciation for the freedoms and stability we enjoy and have been blessed with in America.
